Rules & regulation

  1. General information
    1. The organization of the European Women Championship 2010 has been allotted by the EDC to the Polish Draughts Federation (Polski Związek Warcabowy) and will take place in Sępólno Krajeńskie (Poland) on July, 7-14, 2010 (arriving day July 7th).
    2. Playing hall – Centrum Kultury i Sztuki, Sępólno Krajeńskie, T. Kościuszki 4 (street)
      Opening ceremony – July 8th 12.oo.
      Closing ceremony – July 14th 15.oo. Both in the playing hall
    3. Official web site of the competitions -  www.europedraughts.org
    4. The tournament will be supervised by main referee International Arbiter nominated by EDC.
    5. This document and FMJD rules are valid for them and for the competitors.
    6. Full hospitality cost for actual European Champion – gmif Tamara TANSYKKUZHINA and ONE player from each federation will be covered by organizers. Expenses for another players and accompanying persons have to be paid by their national federations or by themselves.
    7. All costs for travel and visa expenses as well as traveling and visa expenses for players and accompanying persons have to be paid by their national federations or by themselves.
    8. Application from the federations should be send into edc office (viktoria@europedraughts.org) before June 1st. Number of players not is not limited!
    9. About documents needed for visa please contact leszekpetlicki@wp.pl or d.skrzynska@wp.pl. Deadline for documents request – May 15th.
    10. A Jury d’Appel (appeal board) will be nominated by EDC President and announced to all before 1st round.
  2. Fees&Prices
    1. Entrance fee is 40€.
    2. Paying fee it is a federations duty, so amount of fee from Federations will be counted not based on players present in Sępólno Krajeńskie, but based on numbers of players in applications.
    3. Without full participation fee paid by a federation, it is impossible for any players from that federation to play.
    4. In case of extraordinary situation, a federation should inform EDC in written form about resignation of player(s).  Only in this case fee can be reduced:
      i. 100% if resignation before June 10th
      ii. 50% if resignation before June 25th.
      iii. 0% if resignation after June 25th (it means that it should be paid FULLY)
    5. Fees can be paid in cash before opening ceremony or by bank transfer to:

      In case of bank transfer please check You bank – the money should be on the account BEFORE competition starts.
    6. The players finishing in the first three places will receive a medals, cups and an official diploma.
    7. Prices: 2000€ (1st place 1000 euro, 2nd place 600 euro, 3rd place 400 euro).
    8. Details about exact dividing of it will be announced to the public before round II.
  3. Technical details
    1. Time control 1.20 + 1” (Fisher system)
    2. Tournament will be played in 9 round Swiss system.
    3. Final places according to FMJD rules applying to Swiss system.
      If swiss system rules can not determine places 1, 2 or 3, then a barrage will be played as  ‘sudden death game’ (10′+3” for unlimited number of games till 1st victory).
  4. Hospitality information
    1. Accommodation for all players and officials at Hotel STADION, Chojnicka 19, Sępólno Krajeńskie (about 700m from playing hall)
    2. Prices: 80 polish zloty per person per day (full hospitality)
